This defect has been specifically observed in Honda’s Acura model. This defect has been found in car models between the year 2020-2025. According to Honda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the pedal can slowly shift out of position during normal usage because the brake pedal assembly is not properly secured.
Honda said in its official statement “If there is a defect in the brake pedal and it moves from its place, the driver may have trouble slowing or stopping the vehicle and the safety risk increases.”
